When we meet Cindy she was a very pretty young girl who was in the background as one of the girls in a music video for a friend. But since being in the background of that video she has made a determined effort to move into the forefront of the entertainment industry in San Diego. Without so much as a manager she has become a force in the local Hip Hop community, even expanding her influence up the
5 Fwy to LA with appearances on Snoop Dogg’s TV show, GGN and some mainstream artist’s music video shoots. Not bad for someone who has not rapped or sung yet (although she does say she can sing) but who has made all this happen on her looks and talent.
Its a very competitive, big fish eat lil fish world that she has entered, the entertainment business that is and she may seem quite vulnerable or to some maybe too sweet for this business, but her sweet disposition hides her rather fine tuned instincts for self preservation which make themselves evident within a few minutes of speaking to her. Her ability to keep the business separate from her normal life seems to work in her favor. She has been approached with opportunities to make large money with questionable projects which are presented to her on a regular basis by those who want to manipulate this young beauty’s obvious physical attributes, but she has been selective and smart about the choices she has made so far. So she has the looks and common sense.
Growing up in San Diego she was the second of three daughters. No father figure in her life but her father was an entertainer and this is perhaps why she has a certain flair for the entertainment business.
Her mother raised her and her two sisters to be well adjusted and self reliant.
For four years she was part of a Folklorico Dance troupe, dancing cultural dances from Mexico at different events. They wore the flamboyant dresses and were actively engaged in performing for large crowds in a variety of different venues and festivals for the community. In 2012 they were selected to perform in Disneyland which was a highlight of this part of her teenage life. She graduated from Otay Ranch High School in 2013 and has her eyes set on attending college soon to study Business and Management.
She has since appeared in Ta’east’s video “Bonnie” “Problem’s video “Like whaaaat.” and Schoolboy Q’s video, “Man of the year.”
As well as getting interviewed by H2U Universe.
But she wants more than being just a video vixen, something that has gotten her alot of attention in a very short amount of time.
But this is a limited option and Cindy seems to have a bigger picture in her mind of what she can become. She does want to get into acting and broadcasting.
The one thing I noticed was her beauty was not a handicap to her personality. You notice early on how humble and yes sweet she is, but that is deceiving, in a good way. She has a positive vibe about her but when its time to work she is serious about her business. She will take on the role of business woman and brand her name Cindy Hearts’z into a world class brand. Its only appropriate that a world class brand come from a world class beauty.
As she sees her life moving in a certain direction she wants to be able to show a multitude of skills in the entertainment field and not be pigeon holed as a one trick pony. Her goal is to reach as far as she can and become as big as she can in the entertainment industry, while she has the attributes. Growing up her idol was Selena, the Latina Singer who was responsible for a major music craze but whose life was tragically ended by her own Business manager. Selena also launched J-Lo’s acting career. These were the stars Cindy grew up dreaming of as her inspirations.
Cindy wanted to be infront of cameras and it has happened. But she realizes now that dreams are not realized without the effort, talent and sheer luck it sometimes requires. Being in the entertainment industry is not easy nor is it as glamorous as it is sometimes portrayed. She now knows how much work it really is and that she will be happy to be successful as an actor/host/model but in the end her real dream is to be successful and be a good role model for other Latinas. She said when she makes it her first project would be to build a charity
for the homeless in TJ . That would make her complete. Thats how you complete the dream.
